Crazy score. I however loved this. I suppose as I look critically, perhaps the masses would have preferred both pieces in sharp focus? Or perhaps the balance of the image could have been stronger by having the white piece not top out at the very top of the image? I don't know. The scores seem to suggest a number of folks felt DNMC - but death and chess worked in my mind. Keep submitting, the lighting was absolutely gorgeous.

Oh dear, hopefully not too sad a loss. Great concept, although something even closer up of the fish in the net with the bowl might have been even more effective for me.

I love the deepness of the reds and the slight curling as the leaf is drying up. Nice find. I also like the color of the leaf against the gray ground. The empty space at the top of the image distracted me a bit, I might have found the image stronger had the leaf been even closer up.

I found the colors in this image just lovely, and death is certainly there is the tree trunk. I even like that dark shadow off on the right. But there was maybe just too much bright color in the image for this to feel strongly of death to me.
