looks like jewelry. a locket or something similar. Good luck in this challenge.

I've up'd my vote a little bit but the image overall is blurry on both monitors. I also would have seen more coin the subject then the cat. I'd also recommend burning the background a little to darken it up or just decrease the brightness by -10 first to see if that helps.

IMO it DNMC. I understand the connection but not what the challenge asked for. However that being said, the photo itself is a nice photo but the horizon isn't straight. You also have darkened corners which probably wasn't done one purpose. Good luck in this challenge.

The second time I've seen this photo in this challenge but I'm not gonna be a nice cuz its a double. Its a very crisp and clean image with amazing detail and I can see you took the time to do that but why wouldn't you take the time to straighten the building??? A 1 or 2 degree CW rotation would have increased the score huge. I'd also suggested darkening the sky a bit to bring out the gold in the top of the building instead of having it look high key or over contrasted (which haoppens with that color sky). I might have also use a brightening tool on the trees to bring out the green more to complete the photo. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <6>

Probably would have scored an <8> had the building been straight. (yes it bothered me that much)

To me this image is way to over sharpened and has nothing to do with the challenge. The title is the only connection to the challenge and to me thats a little to weak this time. However the image itself is fairly pleasing and if it wasn't so sharp would be something I'd expect to see in a calender or on a wall. The stop motion of the birds is very impressive and goe well against the small cityscape in the background. I also like the way the dock draws your eyes into the photo. Giood luck in this challenge. <5>

I've been avoiding voting on this as it looks to me like a cheap knock off of another DPC member and here's why. The photo itself is OoF and only the gold is highlighted. Had the photo in whole been in focus perhaps it would be a photo that I'd see on a wall somewhere but not as it stands. Good luck in this challenge.

IMO I think the clarity is blown out by the brightness/contrast of the photo. I also think its not a photo I'd expect to see hanging on a wall. However it does fit the challenge and even with the high contrast it does have excellent clarity and stands out well against the black background. Good luck in this challenge. <6>

I don't get the connection to the title and I've seen a lot of this. Might I suggest the model puts some hand cream on to soften the skin tones up a bit and not look so aged. It also would have taken the high contrast off of the finger. The photo itself has nice choice in DoF and is a fairly interesting photo because the gold appears to be graduated from the tip of the finger to the leaf and so on. Great colors and clarity. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <7>

The size of this image is disturbing. If you change the crop size then reduce image size you will find you can achieve a bigger image without losing quality. As it stand I wouldn't vote it higher then a <4> in any given challenge but in this challenge IMO it DNMC. Its also very OoF/blurry and the contrast is way out. Might I also suggest decreasing the contrast by -20 and then adjusting the brightness to fit. Good luck in this challenge.

Interesting choice in DoF but I would have prefered to see the whole coin in focus and the rest just slightly OoF. Interesting photo tho (I assume its from the land down under) and I do like the clarity and color. It contrasts well against the black background. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <7>

The problem with this photo is that you put all you eggs in one basket and you apparently should never do that. Excellent choice in DoF and blurr. By far this has to be one of the nicest in the challenge. Excellent colors and clarity and the sharpness is surpasssed by none in this challenge. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <9>
