I was interested in "Bobsters" comment regarding the size of your image.
I was doing the exact same thing until someone pointed this out to me two challenges ago...what a difference it makes to the finished article,I was sizing to 640 pixels and saving.. I just didn`t realise that I could adjust the filesize before saving.

Lovely shot..very well suited to the challenge..I don`t think "Neat Image"? does it justice though as it adds an unnatural grey shade to the shadow areas of the picture.
I think this would be a ribbon winner if it was pin sharp.

Andy, I`ve checked these shots out after PM`ing you about it and found that it`s down to my inexperience with post processing techniques.
To get the effect I want,I am overusing some of the filters...I am sure there is a better way of achieving what I want (using adjustment layers etc) but I haven`t reached that stage in my learning curve yet.
