My point was not to make the entire image feel abandoned, but to show the contrasts of inner cities. You may have a totally abandoned building next to a shiny new skyrise. The challenge was not to make an image feel abandoned, it was just a point of origin for a mind to take-off from. Open your mind!

I'll offer up a differing view: Looks like an overworked snapshot. The composition is very unimaginative, and while the sky is quite interesting, I find myself looking at it and the ground more than the actual subject.

While the subject is a great example of an abandoned item, to me, the image derives it's interest mainly from the color map, not much more. Not trying to make enemies, just trying to offer up a different sentiment. I think this site needs more of that.

This image boils down to composition, and the well placed frame around the cat's face. Wonderful execution, and the framing of the face gives an interesting, almost sinister look to the cat.

I like the concept on billboards though. Almost makes you wonder where the term BILLboard came from.
