Best photo here (so far). You know this though. You even (almost) totally framed this dude with his hat. Well done. That mustache could use a bit more focus. Actually the more I look at this, the more I wish you would have shown less shirt. Great, great perspective, looking up at this cowboy looking up. His face begs for you to get in there and show some skin cells.

Quite brilliant. You used to rules to your advantage, interesting angle, great subject, well framed. You knew a lot was going on and you cut down the "information" for us, showing us what you wanted us to see.

Beautiful, but where'd her hair go? And why? Hair's important, especially in a portrait and especially in a vintage contest.

I like it. Not so vintage as it is noir.

Very nice, but a little too "eloquent" for my taste in vintage. No big deal.

I like this and could see it on the inside cover of a Neil Gaiman novel, you know? Beyond the dreadful shadow from the plant, I'd call this solid subject matter, perspective and emotion.

I admire your perspective, it shows you're trying to convey something in a new way. Photo is meh.

Thumbs up for subject matter. I would have taken this shot head on, rows and rows of old, overlapping pulp.
