I would have liked a contrast/comparison of the hand with the tabletop textures. as it is it feels two 'flat' and too much crop bottom and left.

Grundle, got your msg and ok now I get it. I think you were assuming too much from your audience! :-) I didn't think it was a bad picture but couldn't see the link. Just one tiny improvement to the pic itself - the 'background' (bed cover?) doesn't quite make the top right corner. If I'd understood it would have been a bit more generous with my score.
