Thanks pamb - perhaps people thought it was smoke and not motion blur or perhaps the competition was just too good. There was no smoke involved of course - just a couple of dice in my kitchen on some black card with a small torch as a light source and a second curtain flash (I think that is what it was called - it was first time I had used this so the challenge was excellent for teaching me a new trick)
I had wanted to do this with white dice but the only dice I could find in the house were red semi-transparent dice so had to make do. Message edited by author 2013-03-04 02:36:15. |

I would love to know how you achieved this photo and was not sure what you meant. I wasn't sure if this was related to the bulb mode on the camera or actual bulbs in a light - sorry if this is a dumb question. |
