It's such a shame that you didn't move the whole thing some 10 cm further to the point where the joints in the wood intersect. The grain in the wood makes a great natural lead to a focal point and when I'm looking at the picture now, my eyes always end up in the middle of nothing, to the right of translucent thing at the top.
