May be I'm missing something, but for me, the content doesn't quite meet the challenge subject. This could be any night.

That said, the balance is nice and the eerie blue beneath red in the sky is otherworldly. I also like the fact that the foreground is out of focus to an extent. The combination of the focus and the feeling that the image is out of balance slightly (feels heavier on the right) gives me a slightly off center -- have to tilt my head to make the world seem right.. feeling.

Image is well colored and contrast is good. The theme is on, but it doesn't seem to have the effort that others have put into their work. Good luck though.

OK, spill it! T... now this one has me REALY wigged out. Is this a cake... a guy that was slimed in a Vaseline factory accident... or what? I really want to know.

To business... Good Composition, lighting is a bit stark but it really contributes to the quality of the image. A more finished or professional look wouldn't have worked so well. Great work and great answer to the "challenge"!

Nice pumpkin. Was this a natural pumpkin (it looks like it). If so, that's one heck of a carving job!
Your image shows the handwork very well, and the burning (no pun) of the flame causes an interesting effect. Good work!

Good idea, but it doesn't do it for me, at least for the "spirit" (sorry couldn't resist) of this challenge. I like the idea and the execution, but my taste tends towards the "real" unreality of many of the other submissions. Good work and good luck.

Ahhh.... Cute kid and fun costum. Very professional looking portrait, well executed. I'm not sure that it's as "Halloween" enough, at least compared to many of the other entries. Nice work, though.
