Gannet at Muriwaiby RobroComment: Nice placement of the gannet within the shot. Overall, the image is a put too soft. A sharper head and a sharper horizon would have added to the photo. |

What's on the Otherside?by BlinksComment: Very nice placement of the subject both within the frame and behind the grass. The sky looks a bit grainy though. |

No One to Play Withby jimmspComment: Nice warm colors and fitting facial expression that emphasize the sense of lonlieness. Now put down the camera and go make that kid a sibling. ;) |

Sole survivorby darixComment: An interesting composition and good use of reflections. Critiques: The background is grainy and the black king is facing the wrong way. I see why you did it, but it just looks strange that the chess piece has his back to the opponent. |

you & meby jackditchComment: A very nice use of colors. My only critique is in the placement of the subjects. I think placing them lower in the frame and a bit left or right would have improved the shot. |

A walk in the park ...by brianlrComment: Beautiful range of colors and spectacular use of reflections. In the foreground, the top branch adds depth nicely, however, the little bush on the bottom is a bit awkward. |

Redemptionby jgal76Comment: I hope you are John and I hope there will be a print available. I was considering ordering the 'In The Beginning' print. If this becomes available, I\'ll order both and hang them together. Somehow you manage to bring life to little wood manekins. Have you considered changing your handle to 'Gepetto'? |

Defying Gravityby eswikComment: Defying gravity??? Heck, if it wasn't for gravity, that top would should right out to outerspace. It's the gravity that's keeping in balance with the magnetic field!!! OK. Time to stop being a smartass. Nice framing and cropping. An excellent choice for this challenge. The only downside is that the top is slightly blurred, probably due to the wobble. Using more light and less aperture could have sharpened it. But overall, it doesn't take much away from the photo. Kudos. |
