Chaosby Ja-9Comment: Fitting title. I love the subtle sunset hue in the sky. Also cool to catch the moon in there. Unfortunately the birds in flight that are supposed to the main subject didn't grab me. Maybe the lazy birds on the ground (which are the ones best in focus at least because of no motion blur) provide the wrong kind of anchor. |

Fly Away!by tvsometimeComment: It's nice that you can see a tiny bit of the subject's head. I just wish I could see more of it. Also I don't agree with the cropping. The foreground on the right seems well in focus and has the most dramatic highlights and shadow in the whole shot, and it's just distracting the intended subject. |

Open Flyby maugbikerComment: Wow, nice shot, those pelicans look great! It seems too crowded, though. I wish there was more space in the shot in at least one direction. Also, somehow the lighting doesn't pop when it seems like it should. The shadow on the bottom left bird seems pretty advantageously sharp and dramatic, but I don't really get the contrast I'd like to see between the direct sunlight versus in-shadow parts. |

Birds in flight, and in fightby OriginalTakeComment: Neat action shot with inter species interaction. It seems like the color are just far too washed out bringing a distracting blah dimension the way I see it. I think more saturation would really help. Also, I'm not certain if the white bird is really in focus, but it seems like nothing else is. I definitely wish the two birds popped in focus. |

Searching...by XeroKashComment: Neat shot. Overall I think the shot is too dark. I don't know what the lighting really looked like when you took the shot, but it seems like the highlights on the subject (especially the trailing edge of the left wing) should pop much more. As it is, the sky is by far the most vibrant part of the shot in a way that I think detracts from the subject. Either really lightening things up or switching to bw I think would really help. |

Canadian Gooseby rcirmComment: Great shot. It looks like the subject is smirking. I love the sharp focus on the tail, back, and head with motion blur on the wings. Bokeh is great in the background, though I wish the horizontal lines (especially the ones at the bottom) were level. |

A Panicked Getawayby MarfunComment: It seems to the the far wing is in focus but not the face. Great action shot though. A better caption would have helped this out a lot I bet. I'm sure someone else could come up with better, though one idea is: Aflac, smaflac! |

Homeward Boundby MelethiaComment: Ooh, I love this. The hill and ship (or whatever that is) really help this shot a lot. I love how the clouds echo the line of birds on the left. Great shot! |

Bread Winnerby ecmguyComment: Nice shot, I love the light. I am less enamored by the bread, though the title helps a lot! |

sea gullby whiterookComment: I like the surreal effect of the vivid colors. The out of focus/over bright face don't work for me though. |
