my eyeby DarkpixelComment: PHEWWWWWWW......have not really looked quite this closely before.....reaffirms my crazy notions of the tiny being infinitesimally cosmic.....(sounds trippy I know ) BUT I went to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum once when I was much younger and they had a video display of the most current satellite pictures from outermost space.....the theme of the video was a zoom into earth from that outermost photograph/video they had and it went closer and closer to earth and then in as close as possible with photos of minute details from an electron microscope.....am I explaining this so you understand? ANYWAY...your shot looks like a BLACK HOLE!!!!! The beginning of "time" cosmic blast...whatever..... why does everything small look like something from outer space......... awesome! |

First day in schoolby TrollManComment: wonderful! I love the composition....the way you saw the bookbag juxtaposed against the walk way boards..... was the child coming home from or going to school? either way there seems to be some reluctance...hesitation or maybe even exhaustation..... can "see" so much in the posture even from behind.....just lovely....sweet capture and great editing....my favorite. 10 |

The cat who was enjoying the view, until I came alongby NeatComment: Lovely colors and grain. I am rather new to DPC.......so if I may ask a question....not to be taken as a criticism....rather a point of discussion. This rule of thirds......sometimes it seems disconcerting to me. Why would I so much liked to have seen more of the image to the left of the cat and less of the right side of the image? I know the composition should work with the line of the cliff and waves but IMhumbleO it left the left side heavy. Do you have another shot standing back behind the cat so that the head would be to the right of the jetty.....or one with a tad less crop to the left? I would love to see the other shots in this photo shoot. Would you post them somewhere? Still beautiful....high mark. |
