Flying south for the winter

Comment:
Interesting sunset, but doesn't really strike me as a literalistic interpretation. Maybe pointing south.

Comment:
An interesting shot, but I am not sure this is a literalism, as much as it is an anthropomorphic interpretation of a phrase.

Good literalism, and reminds me of Rowan and Martin's laugh in!

You're Nuts

Comment:
An excellent capture of this squirrel. Photographically, it's right on. But is it a literalistic interpretation of the phrase: You are Nuts? This is "Your nuts", if you are the squirrel. Works if its a sound alike literalism.

That's an interesting tatoo. It looks typed, so I am curious how you actually got it on you (my guess it has to be some sort of print-transfer). Good composition here, and good capture. And a good literalistic interpretation of the phrase.

Dressed to Kill

Comment:
Nice idea. Perhaps a more intentional shadow fromvery low lighting on the wall or backdrop would have given it a more cinematic flare. Or shooting it at an intentional angle.

I heard it through the grapevine

Comment:
I like the smooth tones here and the angle you chose. A good literalism as well, though the grapevine itself is not as clearly represented by the artificial one you have here (actually, the easist part to recognize and the part that works best is that curl at the bottom.)

Beautifully done gray tones and soft transition between the bulb and the background.

Two Peas in a Pod

Comment:
Good choice of literalism. Somehow the arrangement of pods here isn't as aesthetically striking as it might be. Maybe a black velvet background would have made these stand out. more as well
