Thirty MPHby jonpinkComment: Very nice photo and effect; but the garbage bags really spoil the fun! |

Geometry by kuarkComment: Beautiful tones and contrast, great perspective effect, and an all-around nice shot. Minor nit is the brighter slightly overexposed beam top right, could be burned in a bit outside of the challenge. |

Sunrise at Lake Carasaljoby AprilTheatreGeekComment: Nice scene, good lighting, but I think it needs to have levels adjusted. Seems not to have any real black, or subjectively speaking, appears very low contrast. I understand you are trying to show POV here, but I am not sure the aesthetics are good for the placement of the bench. I would guess a wider view, including the whole bench, might have been a bit better compositionally. |

Fire Islandby phaedrusComment: A nice photo with lucious colors and good reflections! The soft focus effect which may be a matter of resolution adds aesthetically, except for items one would expect to be sharer, lile the background objects. The main nit for me is the tilt to the right (nonnlevel horizon) |

It´s snow in the air..by Kaja LundComment: Very nice tones and composition. I would have liked a little more foreground and some "buffer" on the fence (though with more foreground coming out of the corner like that might work well.) |

Cold Winters Nightby MaverickComment: I love the lighting on the snow on the trees here. I like the composition but wish more of the trees at the bottom were included. |

Snowball Eater...by Everyday ReneeComment: Beautiful dog and good action shot. I think you might consider cropping this to put the person and dog closer to bottom left (leaving some margin). Keeping the dog and the snow path on the diagonal of course! Good exposure as well for this scene with such bright lighting and so much white snow and a white/yellow dog! |

Windowsby nathaliedooComment: I love the golden tones you have here. The windows have interesting detail as well. But the complex pattern and intricate work is spoiled a bit (for me anyway) by the choice of an integrated framing technique. Not necessary here! Let the picture speak for itself. |

Portrait Studyby jonpinkComment: Generally good, but aesthetically, I find it a bit dark--her hair disappears into the background on my monitor, and her hair over the face blends in with her eyes, which look quite "black" in this exposure. I do like the angled head in the pose, and while the red dress adds a nice splash of color, having it at the bottom like that with the rest of the picture "black", seems to draw too much attention to it. In short, a little more of her at the bottom would help, as would a level adjustment. |

San Francisco's Golden Gateby GeneralEComment: Colors are beautiful, cloud detail very good. My only negative is that there's not much else to look at; that is, the river looks nice, but is so small at this distance and angle, the bottom third is basically black, and the top third is dark enough to not have much to contribute. You might think about alternative crops to bring us closer to the river. |
