It's simple, but to me seems a bit 2-dimensional (perhaps if you shot it closer or maybe this one would have worked better in color). The centered composition doesn't work well for me because the rope is not symmetrical (in fact it looks a bit tilted/lopsided, and the centered composition highlights that.). I have never tried a rope shot, so it's harder for me to describe what would have worked better compositionally, but I have seen some that really had impact on me, so perhaps you can search for ones that strike you around here, and on PhotoPoints (where I think I've seen some really good ones).

Very different than all the others I've seen, and well done. The earing/nose earing is a bit distracting here; the focal point should be the tear, but my eyes are drawn to the jewelry. Perhaps the other side of the model would have been a better choice.

Amazingly sharp and perfectly exposed capture of the photo. I like the theme, first best of all, but I think it would have been good to do something more "dynamic" than the trash here (or more photogenic). Personally, I kind of lean more towards the ones who burned them! (Fire looks good.)

Very good concept for this photo. I would have liked to see a little stronger (direct view) of the photo and perhaps less distance between the two.

Nice capture. I would have loved to see the type of OOF colors on the lower left dominate the entire background (may not be the scene, but that provides the greatest contrast and impact.)

Interesting. My own interpretation of the composition is that the interwined wire was the "focal point" here, so that's perhaps what should be in focus.
