The Weight of the World on your Shoulders

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his(her) world a little colder

.......

Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song(score?) and make it better
Remember to let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better

..

Don't let a low score get you down.. Remember why you're doing this, and who you're taking photos for ..
I loved this picture. Okay, it could have been shot from a different angle..
Everyone takes a photo of Atlas from the side .. This is a picture of Atlas from the front ..
Granted, with a rather weird looking globe.. ;)

I love your chalk photos .. I find them creative, quirky and unconventional.. Which is what makes them stand out so much..
Perhaps your score for this won't get you on the top ten, but from the challenge, it's certainly one of the few I will remember ..

Keep shooting .. A bad run doesn't define you.. You're a great photographer with a beautiful and creative mind..

Wow.. I have such mixed feelings toward this shot..
What a beautiful place, what amazing colours and textures on the clouds..
You've framed the picture amazingly well and have captured the time perfectly.
What a shame that the mountain range seems so over-processed.. To the point where it looks like a layer was applied over the mountains..
Perhaps the mountains were completely dark and you tried to lighten them up in post processing, and in the process you've lost pixel details..
I don't know..
..... I'll comment now, and will score at the end..

** back to vote **
Despite the beautiful clouds, my eyes keep getting drawn back to the mountains, and stopping me from enjoying the photo as it is meant to be.
As such, I'll score it a 7.

I like the texture of the water, but would really like to see more details of the city.. The topic of the challenge is clearly stated as "Your challenge is to capture an image of which the horizon line is a dominant component."
It looks like the foreground is dominant here, not the horizon -- I'm terribly sorry to mark this otherwise-great photo such low score.
As it is, I'll give it a 6.

Amazing photograph - The lighting is spot on, the focus is perfect, the shot is captivating and has that 'wow' factor.
The ONLY comment I will add is that the legs of the table look a wee bit too sharp in comparison to the blurred "floor".. to the point where I'm asking myself whether it's actually touching it, or simply hovering over it.
In any case, my vote will be relative.
10, and will look forward to seeing it in the top three.

This is a very powerful portrait. You've framed it perfectly, and made it look very authentic.
However, the image is very soft -- whilst it's desirable in fashion portraits, I think, taking into consideration the harsh sun of the desert, the wrinkles on the man, this would benefit from spot-on focus, and a more obvious contrast to accentuate on the desert sun, and the wrinkles.
As it is, I'll give it a 6.

It was honestly my pick for a top-10....
Goes to show how subjective voting can be. :S

Love the title.
Extra points for it.
"Lawrence of what, of Arabia? That name sounds like royalty. Are you royalty??"

I found this photo really appealing.
The earthy colours, the crispy dried up leaves, all works together.
The angle of the mushroom works great, and you captured great detail there.
The vignette works well, but I unfortunately find it a bit too dark toward the left, to the point where the colours begin to lose vibrance., and start becoming dull and shapeless.
I'd love to see the image without it.
7 from me.
