It might be the small size of this one that is doing it in for me... I can sense that there's a good amount of interest in the photo that is just out of reach. Stuff like the reflectiveness of the phone's face coupled with the dull handset in the middle and then the dotted window in the back could make this a great photograph. But you just can't seem to see all of that at this size. That and I can only hope that the phone was bright yellow and in which case in color with a dull black, white and metalic feel to everything else a bright yellow phone would pop right out.. I have such greater hopes for this photo than what's here.

Even though the contest is "Tools of the trade" and the hands are integral for your theme, I find the one hand and arm as too distracting to the rest of the picture.

I like this one but theres something that isn't working for me... I feel disjointed like maybe the red stripe on the pants just isn't pulling the whole picture together? Hard to describe what's causing it but something is making the picture feel stretched and not balanced. But it is still a good photo.

I really like the color of this one. Plus you seem to have done a good job of drawing attention to the center of the photograph as all points of interest seem to draw to it.
