It's a very nice idea and generally well executed, but I think this photo suffers from overall lack of contrast--particularly in the hand.

Hmmm....the liberal use of blur on the house is unconvincing to me...and it feels "fake" when the beach that is obviously in nearly the same proximity is SOOOO much sharper. It has a nice effect on the water and the horizon, though.

This is a beautiful, serene shot...one that feels like it should have a story and has genuine emotional content. I think a little light dodging on the white of the boat to bring out some contrast might be nice...and I would personally blur the background or apply a gradient filter to highly the foreground, but this is still very well executed as is.

I graded this one a 6 during the challenge, but now that I reflect more upon my rating, I think I erred on this one. This is really a very striking shot, even if not the most original in this challenge. Thanks for sharing this piece of work.
