Long Overdueby kevip6Comment: Nice idea. You could use this to creatively propose, of course. ;-) From a photographic standpoint...the composition is attrative, but the focus is not sharp enough to be persuasive. |

Going to Churchby StuckOnTheFarmComment: Wow...this is such a creative vantage you've got going for you here. If you could have gotten the camera just a little lower, you could have lost the hint of the streetlights in the lower right by the church. It gives this building a sense (even if just an illusion?) of being in the middle of nowhere--a bit of architectural grandeur in the middle of an otherwise unimproved wasteland. Very nice. You might consider, too, lightly dodging the shadows on the front side of the church. I mean, the contrast is nice as is, but there's some nice things to be seen there and might come out a little more if the shadows weren't quite so overwhelming. Overall, I rate this one an 8. |

the play roomby ladylioninkComment: I really like the colors, but I am struggling to find the focus of this shot. It feels too much like a collage, and as such it's not as striking or original to me as something with a more clearly defined subject. |

I'll Rake Em' Next Fallby DsealeComment: This is a very beautiful composition. Did you apply selective desaturation to achieve this effect, or is this "au natural"? |

The Ability to See - (Put off getting my eyes examined)by InClearViewComment: I like it a lot...but I think it suffers from the typical "indoor color effect" which is nice in theory but rarely works out well in practice--at least in my limited experience. If I were you, I might try this one in black-and-white or another two-tone combination, and then tweak for enhanced contrast. |

Spending Time in the Wordby tiggermoComment: I did one very similar to this. I like the perspective, but the focus feels a little too soft to convince me. The way I rectified this (we'll see how the voters feel about it) is by using the macro feature to zoom in on one particular verse or passage. You might try that and see how it works for you. |

Beautiful sunset!!!!!!by JimmieComment: Ummm...what is it? I see a completely black field with a teensy HINT of a tree outline and some small, enigmatic bright thing near the bottom. Weirdest sunset I've ever seen, assuming it actually is one. If the title is ironic...I'd love to hear what you were going for, compositionally, with this shot. |
