Sydney Parkby daisydavidComment: Originally posted by Eaglerapids: I'm a noob to this site but if I may make an observation. The sky is a very strong element of this composition and is beautiful but the foreground, the big expanse of grass, is not. The horizon is very close to the center, weakening the composition. My suggestion would be to crop the foreground almost up to the first line of trees. This would give the sky much greater weight and strengthen the whole. This would also give the photo a panorama type look which I feel would look good. A 16X10 aspect ratio can be quite nice.

Thanks, you're correct with you observation. This was part of my first infrared shots on a Mamiya 7ii 6x7 medium format, so I tended to want to use all of it to show the mild infrared effect, and forgot all about the composition ;) Cheers and welcome to the site. |

Thanks again. He's my twin brother's son, my nephew. This was a walk by shot at a tennis game. I wanted the dof so the arms...;) |

Thanks, he/she is from the garden but not in my bed. The colours just matched and there is an overlay as well, so 3 independent shots. |
