zum Schneiderby sevilduvarciComment: This little piggy went as he was skewered. LOL!
This is cool. The fact that the pig is upside down on the right makes it look like you shot this in a corner. Good work.

Seaside Cowsby BeagleboyComment: Originally posted by olddj: ...even cow in front has right ear oof and that is so true of the (what appears to be) yearling calf in the background |
That was the point of the shot. I wanted to place emphasis on the cow in the foreground. Having a deeper DOF would have made the 2 cows in focus and the eyes would have constantly been travelling between the two. My intention was to emphasize the front cow's facial pattern.
Originally posted by olddj: ...only thing I can think of with this one is to crop it down to show just the face of the front cow, maybe without its right ear even... |
Thanks for the suggestion, but I really think that such a crop would have made for a pretty ho-hum composition. I think I like this composition better.
Thanks for reviewing my image. |

Afraid your cows are lost at sea, you have really lost too much detail in the shadows, because your exposure was set for the bright relections. Fill flash might have helped |
Thanks for the suggestion, but I doubt fill flash would have helped since I was working at 300mm on a very bright winter's afternoon. |

By the Bridgeby BeagleboyComment: Originally posted by jads: I LOVE this photo! It illustrates that for some people, life is just across the bridge if only they could get to it. A very evocative shot! |
Thanks for leaving such a detailed comment on my photo. I'm very happy to see that the image can stimulate thought to such an extent. I just found that the old chair and the bridge in the background made for a good combo. |

Atlantaby madison461Comment: Looks like you cropped highly from the original image or you sharpened too much. there is definite halo-ing along that wire and street sign. |
