My first impression was that this was really red and not orange.
My second impression is really enjoying the spectrum of color this image is providing via the use of perception and distance. The more your eyes follow the leading lines, the more orange you see.
Well done! Any low votes you receive here are from the people who do not give this image enough to time to look at, like I almost did.

I see mostly red and not orange here. I do like the image though. Your focus is nice and the composition is interesting. Still I can't give this image a score that it might otherwise deserve in other challenges for the simple fact that there are many other entries that fulfilled the challenge requirements a lot more closely. 5

Very well done. The DoF is superb. I think it really works here that only part of the wings are in focus. It really makes them seem a lot more delicate.

This is one of few images where I think the colored border actually helps rather than hurts the image.
Its a basic idea, but executed well.
I find the glare on the red a little distracting though.

I don't get the title, but I do like the image.
What I find most interesting is that you can see what appears to be the reflection of a house on the right, but you cannot actually really see the house!

You know you have succeeded in a portrait of any kind, when the viewer can not look away from the subject's eyes. Which I can't!
I truly love this photo. The colors are rich, the composition interesting, the DoF perfect, and THAT EYE!!!!!

I think desaturating was the wrong choice for this challenge. The whole point was to have color (orange), and I think there will be many that will vote you down for this. I do like the different textures that are presented in this picture from the peels, skin, table, leaves etc.
