The black&white studyby gpureticComment: Thank you for the votes and comments. The score has been stable around 5,94 all the week, to dropp only in the last few hours. Nevertheless I'm happy with the result and I like my image.
To LevT: I have never seen techo's picture before you mentioned it to me, believe it or not. I had one outtake with only the book, but it looked a little bit empty and too simple, kind of flat. Then I added a pencil and was happy with the result. It's relly great to see that we both had the same idea, mine came, though some years after. Message edited by author 2010-08-09 08:09:04. |

The Spanby gyabanComment: Great composition and point of view, but how long was the exposure actually? I think this image would be perfect for the "Tilted" challenge! |

When Morning Gildsby jasonlpriceComment: Talk about long exposure! This is nice, but to me it looks even too long, too silky so the details from the water have disappeared. The colours maybe on the vivid side. |

Dusk on the Rocksby bendobbComment: Nice composition, I personally think though that the border doesn't match here so well. |

La Almudenaby gpureticComment: It was really interesting to read the comments, approximately 50% liked the horizontal orientation and the other 50% thought that I should have rotated the image 90°. The truth is, I actually thought that the "right" orientation is the portrait one, but when I tried it, I somehow didn't like it. It lost the details and the punch. Then I decided to go for this "strange" rotation. The image was taken at La Almudena Cathedral in Madrid, Spain during my business trip. I had only my "tourist" camera with me, I shot handheld, supporting on the church bench. I never thought I had any real chances in this challenge, but my wife liked the image amd me myself was actually pleased with the pic once I downloaded it and processed. So I decided to go for it.
Thanks a lot for the votes and the comments, shoot and prosper! |

Beaucoup de Bokeh IIby De SousaComment: Hi De Sousa! I really appreciate your work, it is very inspiring though sometimes quite provocative. This beautiful picture was my personal favourite on this challenge, and I was really expecting it to win a ribbon, the colours are just amazing, great composition. I still cannot believe that it didn't show up on the first page. Congrats! Greetings, Goran |
