I'm not sure what the significance of the bowl is in the background. Also looks like you have some noise in the dark purple at the bottom, perhaps from trying to pull the colour up or shooting with a Canon Rebel series?

That is a very bright looking city, you might want to try a different aperture or shorter exposure. I see what you're trying to do however it's coming up very hazy from the light hitting pollution. Also, your colour balance is out, if you make the lights more white a lot of the haze goes away (the cooler image gives a lot more definition).

Interesting title!

The focus looks a little soft, or perhaps it's blurred. If you're shooting handheld perhaps you could consider using a tripod, which would also let you get a little more light into your picture and drop your ISO (it looks fairly noisy as well.)
