Vintage 1950's/Norman Rockwell is what I was going for with this processing, which is really outside my normal "thing" so it was a fun educational stretch into a new area.

Thanks, paulbtlw, for taking the extra time to look for the out-of-the-ordinary/unconventional. I try to do the same thing when I vote/critique as my eye likes to find the things that haven't been seen before or not seen in the same way. I'm glad this photo worked for you!

I try to be clever and avoid shots that are too obvious or cliche so I'm glad this worked well for a number of people.

This was my first DPC entry and I had a nice time hiking out to get the shot, wearing out the Update button and following the discussions in the forums the following week ;^)
