I think that placing this on a workbench or somewhere more rugged than a bed would have lent better to the background and the overall feel to the picture. The subject is good, the composition is there ( minus the tool sinking into the bed) and the lighting is there. did the latch on the left break off?...or did you think it was too red? I'm not the best photographer by any stretch...but I think it's just the background that mainly hurts this imo. When I first started taking shots around the house, I would always agonize about the background cause I never had anything good...then surfing the web it came to me...a trip to wal mart...and a dollar for a white poster board...and walla...instant "studio" =`) But that's just my opinion...that and a dollar will get you....well not much :)

:) good interpretation...and good for you for still smoking! I don't but I can't stand the hypocrisy (sp?) behind all this anti tobacco crap thats going on! Smoke em if you got em I say. But back to the photo...I like the composition and the lighting. The color is great. Good texture also.

ooohhh pretty...and it makes me thirsty! =`) ....lemme crack some mondavi here....ahhhhhh.....okay, now I can appreciate this pic even more. The lighting is wonderful, and the arrangement of the items is superb. Great table to use as a backdrop. The glass even has the bubbles. good dof too! Did I mention that I like this =`) CHEERS TO YA!

Somehow, someway this shot keeps my interest. I haven't liked any similar to this near as much. The "dirt?" on the screwdriver is great and adds authenticity to your title. cool shot.
