I think it's funny....
This is my niece at my daughters 1st b-day. There were supposed to be a bunch of kids her age there, but they all canceled last minute. She ended up being alone amongst 40 adults. Right before I took this shot she said "Uncle, I'm bored, and I want to go home" I thought it would be perfect for the challenge this week.....guess I was wrong.

I think I would try a closer crop along the top. It needs a slight CW rotation. The jumping subjects don't seem sharp.

i think I would go with a tighter crop side to side and up from the bottom to exclude the foot. it also seems as if the lower half of his body is too bright, and is distracting from his face.

The subject could benefit from a fill flash. It would be nice to see the subject's face, and see the enthused expression. I think a deeper DOF would also be helpful....the subject is blurred with motion, so it would be nice if the water/beach were crisp.
