Georgeby raishComment: This cat is ready to attack. The photo would fit well in an off screen expecatation challenge! What is that cat focusing on, one would wonder?? |

The Accordion Man, Week 1by njsabsComment: The way the light splits the musicians face is very interesting. I also like how the light pours over the instrument. Excellent control of the light here. |

01-52.jpgby salmiakkiComment: What's black and white and grey all over?? This image!! I think you did a great job here. To an untrained eye the lighting looks overblown, but the fact that it is consistently overblown throughout the image makes it purposeful. Combine that with the dark shadows of the black background and the greys of the foreground and this proves to be a well planned and thought out photo. A wonderful tri-tone image! |

Abstractions #001by rooumComment: Wow!! If this is your first abstract, I can only imagine you will be putting on a workshop for all of us throughout the year! The color is very vivid, the wood grain adds great texture and the little knot looks like an eye!
Improvements?? If I could give any critque at all it would be to recompose to make the downward stroke of the woodstain to be in the right third of the image. That may not even have been possible.
Excellent job... How about a little backstory on the abstract to hear your thoughts on the image and setting it up?? |

Lion's Gate Bridgeby manavgComment: This is a good landscape. You've got the rocks foreground, lights reflected at midrange and bridge and sky in the background all in good focus with excellent color. The only downfall with this is that all the leading lines lead you out of the frame. The wires and the line of the bridge all lead the eye to the top left corner where there is nothing interesting to look at. |

Bright Nightsby cpanaiotiComment: Wonderful perspective. I think the composition might have been stronger if you could have taken a few steps to the left and rotated yourself looking more straight at the building. I love the twinkle of the lights on the tree. |

Solitudeby robm001Comment: I think the title Solitude would be better applied to this scene taken on a calm and peaceful day. The blowing snow gives this shot some intensity that doesn't fit with the given title. That aside, I like the B&W conversion as well as the composition of this shot. |

The Vision of Victor Bourgeau by VitaminBComment: Beautiful colors and wonderful composition. One improvement if possible would have been to get closer to avoid the rope at the bottom of the shot. |
