Going Inby JdroullardComment: A very respectable top ten finish on this! I like your work with the XSi. Do you process your raw in DPP and then go to photoshop? Also to speak to one of the comments regarding sharpness, did you adjust the sharpness in camera settings or just use the default setting of 3 and sharpen afterwards? |

Final Curtain Callby maddie321Comment: This is somewhat documentary in nature and could benefit from better time of day with more diffuse lighting and also using a different perspective to give a better sense of repetition to the grave markers than you have shown here. Perhaps focusing in on one marker and showing a line of them fading into the distance using a shallow depth of field to make them out of focus. |

Exitingby liangdaweiComment: Strong photo however it is weak on the subject. Now if the fly was captured in flight with a blurred flight path away from the plant using a long exposure... now that would be something! |

Peanut Butter and Fluff Sandwichby whiterookComment: Honest feedback: Set up the shot so the background encompasses the entire frame. The right corner shows the edge of the table. Work on the color balance because it is pretty orange. (Perhaps because there is a lot of reds in the picture and possible use of wrong white balance setting.) The fill flash is pretty good here with no real hot spots.. good job on that. I think you used a high ISO because there is a lot of noise which could have been reduced with better lighting. (BTW: My wife loves fluff sandwiches without the peanut butter.) |

Three Peppers (CW)by dtremainComment: I was a bit freaked out by the (CW) in the title because of the recent voting scandal. I was thinking there was some collusion going on and didn't like it too much, especially since I had seen two images in the PTA challenge recently with the same thing. I was thinking it was a sign to show who you were... But I looked it up and found that it stands for comments wanted. So my initial comment is that I didn't like this experiemt in communicating with the voters through the title.
About the picture... good diffuse lighting. I think you might need some reflected light hitting the bottom of the peppers to light them up a bit more. Great color! |

Underneath the Blue Skyby karmatComment: Awesome picture with rich color and excellent composition that unfortunately is suffering badly from the jpeg compression jaggies! The edges of the crosses are all jaggedy pixels... |
