Sky Fallingby jayhaldorsComment: Nice reflection -- the trees are virtually perfect. I find myself wishing that the branch and rocks and dead leaves weren't in the picture, but short of you trudging into the water and taking them out, I don't know what you could do about it. Along those lines, I'd also love to see this same shot taken on a slightly less cloudy day to get some more of that blue in the reflection -- the cloudy portions let me see through the water just a bit too easily. But, since you can't control the weather... :-) |

Bird on Stacked Coins (Attempt No. 3,493,394)by paully2k1Comment: I think this is a really clever idea -- would have been "mundane" right side up (although still tricky) -- but upside down adds a great deal to it. I would have cropped it/shot it so the bird hung perfectly straight down the column of coins instead of just to the left. The focus seems a little soft on the bird and coins -- but it also looks like maybe your camera isn't quite so high end, so maybe that's the problem there. A light shining on the front of the coins to bring out detail would be nice. The colors of the picture seem to be a little green -- but that's assuming the wall at the back is white. Finally, a different background besides the wall and table would bring this up another notch and change it from isn't this cool what I balanced, to isn't this a great shot... |

Upside Down # Oneby Dangerous_bluesComment: Dig the shot, but wish it was lit on the opposite side -- that way the apples wouldn't be in the shadow of the fruit bowl. Lighting is also causing there to be kind of a lot of noise in the shot and with all those flat white surfaces, it's really noticeable. Nicely composed. |

Vertical is beautiful!by hixxxComment: This looks more on its side than upside down. (If those are trees at the right that are growing toward the left, anyway.) I like the abstractedness, but I think it would be a lot better if the 'noise' could be less noticeable. Since the picture is already blurry, runing it through despeckle half a dozen times (that seems such a strange thing to suggest) might help smooth things out a bit. |

When our World turnsby sweetk1685Comment: This seems a little dark. The overcast sky (I assume it was overcast, anyway)does make you focus on the greens. My eye is continually drawn to the red object, but I can't quite make it out. I'm breaking one of my own self-imposed rules (suggesting a 'much' different shot) but I think I might have shot this on a sunnier day with a bright blue sky. |

Yes, i stole Peewee's bike!!by heartsdivideComment: The angles on the barn in this one bother me. I'm not sure why. Perhaps just because it's upside down. Maybe a different location with a tighter shot of the bike? Other than that, the colors seems a tiny bit dark. Easy to adjust in your editing program, I'm sure. |

Coins in the Sky by zaynoComment: I might have bumped this the tiniest bit darker on the shadows -- but that is just a personal taste thing. Love the way the coins look like stars. |

Spider Squirrelby ibanComment: Clever. A faster shutter speed would have let you freeze the squirrel's motion. The colors here also seem a little flat. It may be that this is entirely true to the location, but I think a littel tweak in a PS like program, would help make some of the color pop. (Or, if not, maybe think black and white instead...) |

Soda Water Ad: Cool Clean Refreshment!by magnetic9999Comment: Nice shot. I think I would have pulled back the tiniest bit to include the top of the bottle instead of barely cropping it out of the shot. I also think an orange slice might have been more appropriate than lemon since it's orange flavored seltzer -- it also would have echoed the color of the bottle nicely. The only other thing is that little ripped out portion of the label. |
