	Fashionista by JuliBoc Comment: I like this. It would be shot down in flames in the normal DP ... this side challenge seems to allow far more creative processing than usual and I like that a lot. I'm loving the lack of sharp definition, this photo contains so much narrative - heightened by the B&W

	The Isle- Day 5 by Brent_S Comment: Whoa !!! Looks like some screen for Myst - strange orange water flowing in from those grills down the left. I must say I am liking the scope for creative processing that this side challenge is giving. Fantastic composition leading the eye towards the door.

	Ice cream eating contest is a 'beat the heat' treat for local kids. by glad2badad Comment: well not exactly dramatic important drama but a very nicely taken photo that I would expect to see in my local paper. Scoring this the highest for this round. I love the dynamics and emotion in the picture and the colour is also very nicely done.

	Governor Ted Strickland by colorcarnival Comment: Boring, undramatic (though quite some well caught emotion), well composed, nicely lit, well focused and absolutely fits the challenge ... I'm scoring it highly and I hope the other DP'ers don't get blown away by some of the other good more dramatic photos that all the same wouldn't make the newspapers

	Puppy For Sale! by BenNelsonPics Comment: its a lovely well taken photo of a very cute dog but I'm not convinced it meets the challenge that well ... I think we are looking for front page drama. Sorry I feel a bit of poop head saying this but I ain't never seen a puppy for sale in the broadhseets or tabloids ....

	Street Dentist still working despite health issues by walbland Comment: first reaction, bit of a shoe horn , second reaction "what !!!" , third reaction "oh zorks is this for real?" ... seriously is it or was it posed? Either way a great shot for the challenge and I hope folks take the trouble and nerve to look at it closely.
