Deeper, Softer, Quieterby mgsmith53Comment: A lovely study in reflections, and lovely detail showing with this surface (ice/still water?). Great shot. Well seen. |

Sunrise on Mt. Tomby cutlassdude70Comment: Great light on the mountain and lovely to have that bit of Mt. Tom reflected in the water. However, I find the lower third of the image rather uninteresting. The stream there is less interesting and the light on the grass is really flat. I'm trying to figure out if you used tone mapping on this..? |

reflectionsby GinaRothfelsComment: Great. I like this. Well seen! Taken outside at a wedding or at some sort of reception, I'm guessing. The car is spotless! |

winter warming glowby GilesComment: I like the unusual pattern the sky, but on my monitor the other areas are a bit too dark to hold my interest, although the glow of light across the fields is attractive. Based on the size and shapes of the fields I'm guessing this is somewhere in the UK. I know a lot of areas got snow this winter. |

Grrr.....by toddheadComment: A young ice hockey player, perhaps?
Nice tones, good detail showing in the darker areas, and of course such a fun expression. |

Wavefrontby NeilComment: Fun, I like this. The brickwork provides a nice contrast (both in color and texture). Great sense of flow, almost movement! |

Speed racerby MikeComment: Fun shot, but not the best lighting. It might "pop" a bit more with more light on the front of the car. |

Abandonedby LawtonComment: I like the textures and shapes here, but this has the look of an HDR processed image where "all" the contrast and interesting light has been "sucked out" of the picture by overuse of that process to the whole picture when only part needed it. My suspicion is that you applied HDR processing in order to show the details of the car's interior, which is great. It adds to the picture's interest. But having done that it would have worked better IMO if you had created a mask for the HDR layer and controlled what areas it was applied to. In effect I think this picture calls for somewhat different processing to be applied to the car's interior, the rest of the car, then to the rest of the image. |
