jmsetzlerComment: I've come back to this photo a few times and discussed it with some people, and here are the two main themes I see:
1) Very strong Biblical overtones with the apple and the title, symbolising the fall of man, expulsion from the garden of Eden, etc. That story has always struck me as very misogynistic, so I don't like it much, but I like the way you captured it.
2) This is a bit disgusting, but I also see a representation here of an engorged clitoris :). I like it, this is a picture full of sexual arousal. There's also the idea of someone eating the apple, ie. cunnilingus.
As a woman, looking at this photo makes me feel a bit gooey because of that second one, which is cool because there aren't many sexual images on DPC that women can relate to that way, they all seem aimed at tittilating men. I like what you achieved. It's not just that it holds all this meaning, it's also incredibly beautiful and technically perfect. 10!!!! - lisae
