Abstract Martiniby AleciaComment: I love it! What can I say? The colours, shapes, lighting... it's all stunning. 10! |

greenhousejumbleby undieyatchComment: Beautiful! The colours and the patterning on the leaves are amazing! The light is soft enough to bring out every tiny detail. The leaves have a kind of spongy feel to them, very tactile. The way the composition centres around that green leaf works really well. I'm giving it 10. |

one yellow eyeby BadPiggComment: Interesting idea. I like the intense colours and those faint rings of light. I can see your reflection... I kind of like that :). But overall, the image falls a little bit flat. Maybe an off-centre composition with a longer shadow would have been more dynamic? |

Light of the Spiritby jmsetzlerComment: Beautiful!! There isn't a thing I don't like about this photo. I absolutely love the intensity of the light coming through that window. The composition is stunning, the tones are deep and rich. A 10 from me! |

Ilussion and Gestalt studyby dimitriiComment: Great idea! I love the warm yellow tones and the lighting here. The rack and the shadows of the coat hangers are great shapes. I feel like I'd prefer the image to be framed a little further to the right though, to cut out some of the door and include all of that last coat hanger. The way it's cropped creates lines that lead my eyes out of the photo, I think. |

Tons of Seedsby RfariasComment: Hmm.... this is a really interesting idea, but the framing doesn't work for me. It kind of undoes the dynamism of the arrangement of seeds. I don't really know what would work better though. A square crop? We can do that now :).
I really like the colours and textures of the seeds, and the way they're arranged. |

Market Streetby MiekaComment: This is a really interesting scene, but the contrast is a little low and white areas are overexposed. I like how you caught the guy mid-stride, and although the background is a bit busy, I think that works in an evocative way. Perhaps black and white wasn't the best decision when there must be a lot of interesting colour in this scene. |

Chasityby connieComment: This seems washed out. It would benefit a lot from a little bit of levels adjustment in your post processing software. There is a bit of shine to the girls face, on her nose, chin and forehead. That could have been avoided with some powder over her foundation :). Other than that... I think the framing makes the photo seem flat overall. It brings out her eyes, but it makes her face seem like it's trapped in a tiny box. It cuts out part of her hairline and also the edge of her jaw. These are important boundaries to the face, without them we don't read a face very well, and when ALL the appeal in this photo is supposed to come from her attractiveness, you're cutting down a bit on that.
It's not a photo that really appeals to me thematically, so I've focussed on technical details. Overall, the photo doesn't really work for me. |

Neon Twigby kandyjComment: Hmm... you're reaching for something interesting, but I feel as though the contrast here is too high, and the composition could do with some rethinking. Look at the negative space here... it isn't really doing anything to support the shapes of the twig and the icicles. The colours in the ice/water could have been brought up a bit better with some more work. |

A Splash of Color by RackatComment: Very good work, technically. The colours below the surface were a great idea. I just feel a bit cold looking at this though, because I've seen so many water drop photos before. For what it is, it's very good, and deserves a high rating, and originality isn't everything, but it doesn't grab me on an emotional level I'm afraid. |
