Downstreamby welcherComment: Wow, the light in this scene is beautifully soft and diffuse, and you got a great glassy effect in that water. I love how the green lichen is set off by all those muted greys and browns. Gorgeous. |

Amber Eveningby spidermanComment: Very nice. I like the crop, and the vivid colours. Maybe the leaves in the foreground seem a little bit underwhelming, though, in this tight rectangle. The composition is a little bit awkward. |

Sunsetby nards656Comment: I love this one! One of the best tree photos in the bunch. The filagree of trunk, branches and twigs is divine, and the steely grey/blue colour of the sky sets it off beautifully. One of my 10s. |

Prairie Sunset by SonifoComment: Beatuiful colours! The silhouette of the grass is very nice. There's a great sense of scale to this photo. I can imagine it will be popular, maybe even place in the to 10. Nice work. |

Evergreenby jab119Comment: Nice angle and composition, but seems a bit overexposed. It would havbe been nicer to have the canopy darker so you could bring out more detail in the bark. The black and white is a bit too grey also. Not enough tonal depth. |

Where The Sun Goes Downby greenem2Comment: The lone tree in this shot isn't interesting enough to lift the photo. It seems empty, flat and static. A closer crop of the tree might have been nicer. |

Dead Woodby LanSnakeComment: I love the colours in this, and the gnarled, silhouetted shape of the tree. The central composition works here. It may be a little bit underexposed, but nonetheless a nice photo. |

frost flowersby kenboComment: Hmm... I like this, it's cool. However, it needs some tonal depth. The darkest tones are too light. It's easy to do that, just adjust the levels in photoshop, or your favourite processing software. Even brightness/contrast will do it. If it doesn't look too light to you, it may be your monitor. Check the squares along the bottom of the voting pages to see how many you can distinguish. |

Lichen, can only live in a pristine environment!by PtmanComment: Pretty, in a weird kind of way :). I like your shallow DOF effect. Interestingly, this photo didn't strike me straight away, but the more I look at it, the more I like it! The textures are amazing, and the lighting is soft and even. Very nice work. |
