friends crossing streetby rosanaComment: The lines in the pavement are a bit distracting, and nothing about the image really conveys the concept of friendship. |

Girl Talk by dartompkinsComment: This is a cute picture, but the composition feels better suited for a family album than a photographic competition. If I knew these kids I'd love to have this picture on my desk; but since I don't, there's nothing about either the content or technique that jumps out at me or gives the picture any real significance. |

Friends Through High Tidesby SunnieeComment: Framing this shot so that the girls were closer to the bottom right of the image might have improved the composition. I'd like to see a bit more of what they're looking at, even if it's only more of the ocean. |

Best Friendsby rlinn3Comment: Having the cat's ear so close to the girl's eye creates unnecessary visual tension. |

friendship in the makingby mlhop05Comment: Both of these kids seem more interested in something happening off camera than in participating in the shot. Cropping the image so close to the girl's eyes emphasizes the fact that she's looking elsewhere. |

A Walk to Rememberby KarANNComment: This picture is too small to make out much detail on. The girl on the right blends in a bit too much with the background, and the shot is framed with the subjects too close to the center for my taste. Incorporating the bridge as a thematic element with metaphorical significance might have made this a more powerful image; as presented here it just seems like part of the background.

best buddiesby snsComment: Something about the composition here doesn't feel right. There seems to be a lot of visual clutter used to convey the idea that a poker game is in progress. I would have liked this shot better if it had been cropped so that the cards were closer to the bottom left corner. This would eliminate some of the foreground items which both steal attention from the subject (the kings) and offer only redundant information ('poker game in progress'). |

Coexistenceby caustinComment: The title is probably an accurate assessment of the relationship between these birds, but coexistence is an association a bit looser than friendship, which is the challenge topic.
On a technical note: This seems a bit overexposed. The detail on the white duck is washed out, and the the shadows below the other duck's head blur the boundary between the bird and the water. You might be able to bring some of the detail back by adjusting the curves or reducing the contrast. |

Bodhisattva by labudsComment: One thing I still find odd about this image: this is obviously your right hand, but it appears to be your left eye. What was the reason for this mis-match?
On an unrelated note, how many shots did it take before you ended up with the shot you submitted? |

Bodhisattva by labudsComment: My vote here is biased, because I actually tried to execute this same concept. I was not sufficiently satisfied with my results, so I didn't submit anything for this challenge. I'd be interested in learning how you masked this off to get such a polished looking shot. Excellent work. |
