Pacific Gloamingby crowisComment: Really really like this - not overly dark, but the impression of late evening is startling. Subtle coloration, water movement not over done - I'd like to see this win a top three slot if not win the challenge. |

boat lift by InaFunkComment: I should really recuse myself from reflection shots. Its a good idea, but lacks in execution. For a reflection shot to work, you have to have more than just a reflection - it has to be balanced with something firmer - just an image of a reflection without context is meaningless. |

Dam{n}by herfotomanComment: I know what the submitter wanted to convey here, but it missed by a mile. Way too much empty space detracting from the really interesting bird. A change in view would have help this a lot. |

The Calm of the Pacificby CWFitzComment: A relaxing image - could have used a little better lighting to bring out a little more detail - maybe more exposure would have helped, but there are alot of little things about this that I like. The birds, the subtle light on the subject's shoulder - a welcome peaceful image. |

Mountain Waterby primabarbaraComment: I am not a huge fan of the whole "flowing water" genre of photography, but the subtle light touch in this image is nicely done. The picture is a little on the pale side which creates a "blah" effect and the dark border at the top detracts from the overall image. Still, a decent entry. |
