I found myself more interested in the boat than the other parts of the image. Neat idea to have that wooden bench and fence. I have an older pontoon that I wanted to fix up (I have a brand new one also) - this gave me some ideas. Anyway, be that as it may, I think it is a little over exposed, but a fun image nonetheless.

I like this image a lot except for one little detail - the people at the top center. This would have been a top ten for it's beauty and surreal, almost ethereal landscape - a fantasy land, but the color at the top just sort of ruins the overall impact - for me that is - my opinion. Still, I under rated this and moved from a 7 to a 8.

I am not a fan of the "flowing water" genre of landscape scenery. This is overdone - I would have preferred to see a more natural waterfall than what was captured. However, it still is a very nice image with some interesting color variations and from a viewer's perspective, it is interesting.

Another time, distance and space image with a lot to recommend it in those terms. I can't really find anything that I'd want to complain about - maybe a tad too much space at the top of the image - a crop would have been warranted. Still, my initial impression was related to the empty space, so I've change this from a 7 to a 9.

I struggled with this image - I have the concept just fine - sense of loss, impending doom if you will, darkness and all the associated sense of foreboding - got it. There's nothing wrong technically, I just am not overwhelmed by a positive response to the image.

Another image that I originally under rated during my rating pass. I've done an injustice to this - it is incredibly detailed, the title is perfect, the overall emotional impact is purposeful and contemplative. A brilliant capture and worthy of a 10 and certainly a top 5 place.
