Iditarod 2009by ShutterPugComment: A fairly standard image - nothing dynamic about it which is what you would like to see. I think all the white doesn't do it any favors either. |

harvestby hannekeComment: If this had been cropped to just above the shoulder, it would have rated a ten - flat out a ten. As it is, the skin blemishes detract from the images overall impact and the fading of the hair along the back are significant negatives. |

pier 2 pierby halopesComment: This is a great photo - the overall mood is suggestive of moonlight and in some ways is very romantic. The building in the background is somewhat annoying if only because it's in focus and the stairs along the top distract and blink the eyes - it seems out of focus even if it isn't. Not perfect, but very well done. |

With Everything Burning Around Me, I Stand Firmby ThatChickOverThereComment: This is one of those images where the title/image nexus gets confused. I think I get what this image is saying, but I can't decide if it's fog or smoke - that's what I mean about confused. I think the title might have made more sense if there was actual fire in it, but thats a personal opinion. |
