Tough Choicesby ErinKirstenComment: Very whimsical and highly amusing. A very good choice for a motivational poster for a weight loss clinic. Clever use of the toes to hide the weight display. The background is a little stark, but the choice is well understood and isn't a major flaw. Excellant use of color and positioning of the props. Should be a top ten just for the clever mix of humor and intent. |

Growing Strengthby offiofComment: A good composition flawed by the odd lighting and highlights plus the extraneous green above the weight and the red speck on the fingernail. The white appears to be ever so over done which draws the eye away from the model. Excellant detail and with different lighting or a softer lighting, would have been a top contender. |

Get Fitby KincaHUNComment: A very clever and imaginative use of framing - creative causing the viewer to pause and take a closer look to determine what the author has done. Good use of grain to give a sense of texture and depth. A good representation of the old time, free weight power gym or boxing camp. Very representative of the grit and grime of staying fit. Comparitively speaking, this is a very unique image compared to the rest of the submissions and clearly out side the norm. Well done. |

Ironman - The Ultimate Physical Challenge. by Kel73Comment: A terrific capture demonstrating the nature of fitness. Good detail although it appears to be just slightly soft in focus but this does not impact the subject negatively. Excellant DOF control giving a sense of detail without being over whelming. A top fifteen image for sure - possibly a top ten. |

the Icelandic manby asdisyrComment: Excellant tone and quality slightly affected by the overly darkened subject. However it does work as demonstration of body fitness and from a technical standpoint is perfect. A little lighter subject would be a huge plus. As it stands a top fifteen image for sure - possibly a ribbon winner. |

Get Fitby KarenNfldComment: The apple a day is now the most common image type posted in this challenge and as the other two, does exactly what it's meant to do. The slight DOF change is perfect - a minor complaint about the light bloom on the apple, but it's not over whelming - different from the other submissions indicating a different way of looking at the subject. Precision in the detail make it stand out a little more than the others. Well done. |

Motocross Riderby KaliComment: A touch more centered would have made this an excellant demonstration of stop motion action. A beautiful capture which could have gone very wrong. Good detail - little more contrast to bring out the rear wheel would be a major plus as it tends to blend into the darker background of the tree line. The little details make this a great image and evocative of fitness of the motocross athelete. A top fifteen image at least if not top ten. |

Powered by Bellby ace flymanComment: Over sharpened feel of the image does not to it any favors. The blank background is not a good choice. A clever use of slight violet shade on the arm with the blue hand weight, but the hand fades into the background and the arm does not have a lot of definition. A good effort and concept just a little lacking in execution. |

Viper Lenses... for todays Archerby dzone1Comment: The image has a cut out appearance and would have been much better with some type of definitive background. While the title suggests the subject, the image is more oriented towards the archer and glasses rather than the bow sight. It might have been better to take the image from the front of the bow and emphasize the bow sight using a DOF fade. As a fitness image, it doesn't quite work. |

Pop Fitnessby phiggins24Comment: A good concept and good composition slightly flawed by imperfect focus. The odd color cast does not help the image along with the appearance of being slightly oversharpened. A good basic effort though. |
