AHHHHHH!!by nidiciComment: The water shapes are lost in an overly busy image that could have been a very interesting entry into the challenge. The textures, while meeting the challenge successfully, are too broad in the sense that they over establish a presence and over power the entire image including the subject. An earlier capture or even a later capture in the splash process would have probaly helped the image tremendosly. A good entry into the challenge, it could have been better and with the right treatment, a top twenty image. |

Pentium 3by ryanviernesComment: An interesting choice for meeting the subject challenge - very abstract and different. The image could be a little more dramatic. A little more focus would have helped this image score higher. A slightly different angle presenting the circuitry would have been a plus. A good, solid entry into the challenge. |

G-spotby taterbugComment: Simple, elegant, colorful - white right on the edge, perfectly focused and the ever so slight offset to the center is visually pleasing and very appealing. A top ten contender and a worthy ribbon contender. A favorite. |

Kiwano by ti_evomComment: Another excellant abstract with imprecise little features. The image is incredibly sharp and perhaps right on the edge of being over sharpened if not just a touch over the edge, but it is effective because it's so sharp. Demonstrates the variable nature of texture in the natural world. Excellant image and worthy of contending for the top prize. |

Bumpyby drewhosickComment: An interesting choice for meeting the subject challenge made by more than one author. This particular example of subjet choice is somewhat better than the others, but suffers from the same issues- odd reflections and just over the edge whites. Similar to the other images, it appear to be just ever so slightly oversharpened. A little more focus would have helped this image score higher. A good, solid entry into the challenge. |

Texture IDby fededecbaComment: An interesting choice for meeting the subject challenge - very abstract and different. The image could be a little more dramatic. A little more focus would have helped this image score higher. The author's intent is plain and understood, but it falls just short of hitting the mark. A good, solid entry into the challenge. |
