Sun Kissedby jasonlpriceComment: While a good effort, the uneven and unnatural skin tone on the right detracts from the more natural color tone on the left. The lighting also created some rather distracting highlights akin to hot pixels on the left side near the lips and the rather odd discoloration on the left upper lip. This would have worked much better using either one approach or the other in terms of lighting on the face. |

Hollowby ndanish18Comment: It's hard to rate this because of it's nature. It might have been a better approach to use lighting to create a different effect than the rather flat approach used. In another type of challenge, this would be a very effective image as the conversion is nearly perfect and well controlled. |

light brings lifeby StagoleeComment: A very effective use of lighting to create a mood piece that is very nicely captured. A little more blank space than is needed at the top and left, but the nature of the image over comes this minor issue. A good, effective image showing the different nature of using lighting effectively even if it isn't "creative" in the objective sense. Well done. |

lights patternsby blumenhbComment: A very interesting concept and a creative use of light to create a mood. There are actually two images in this and with a crop to remove the top and left side to concentrate on the lighting effect might have brought this into top ten consideration and possibly a ribbon winner. As it is, it shows some creative thought. Not quite as effective as it could be, it should place withint the top twenty for creativity. |

From Aboveby BalkoComment: More an image of lighting than a creative use of lighting. It's hard to rate this because of it's nature. It might have been a better approach to find a subject and then use the lighting to create the image rather than of the light itself. |

Thousand words!by kbhatia1967Comment: An effective demonstration of how lighting can effect an image, but not particularly "creative" in an artistic sense. A nice crisp image which would do well in another challenge or setting, it falls just shy of being a total success with respect to the challenge subject. |

Solitaireby FromDaRockComment: Different use of light and creative in every respect. Nicely lighted, the white are right on the edge which is a positive from a technical standpoint. From an artistic standpoint, it suffers from a loss of facet detail, but that is countered by the very interesting effect of the gentle curves of the light source itself. The top light bloom is distracting by being ever so slightly over done. A good solid demonstration of the creative use of lighting on the subject and a clever idea both from the technical and artistic aspects. Should place well in the challenge. |

Bits and Lytesby Viper_VTComment: This is one of the more marginal images in this challenge if only because it is an effective use of LED lighting to create some lighting effects, but it borders on the edge of being a straight shot of a LED. This might have been a better image if the grain could be held and presented in color as the conversion is a little less than completely successful. Benefit of the doubt to the author. |
