Daddy Makes it all Betterby karmatComment: An openly candid moment of sadness and joy, this was a spur of the moment capture that instantly is recognizable to anyone who has children. A very effective composition from both an artistic and technical standpoint, the very poignant effect is palpable. A great candid capture which should place well if not a ribbon contender. Well done. |

Lovely Light for a Lovely Moment by kvickreyComment: A very interesting capture in that the immediate impression is of beauty, grace and style - a calm moment between the horse and it's friend that became a charming vignette. The halo effect is instantly effective from an artistic sense and the B&W conversion is very well done. This should place high if not a ribbon contender. Well done. |

Seen better days by NobodyComment: Very slight over sharpening does not affect this image's artistic impact. That slight technical issue is a nit pick and would not ordinarily affect any viewer. A very technically competant conversion that enhances the artistic effect in a very positive way. A very candid portrait of a man down on his luck - effective photo journalism. |

... Leave me alone and let me sleep!by KincaHUNComment: Simply outstanding in it's artistic impression and technical excellance. The very slight color cast and slightly offset angle only enhances the overall impact of this image - simply a brilliant piece of photo journalism. Well done. |

Charleston Tea Partyby mgarsteckComment: This is a terrific image and one that should garner enough high votes to place well if not a ribbon. Very crisp and sharp including the excellant conversion to black & white - there is nothing wrong with this from a technical standpoint and artistically it hits the candid mark right on the nose. Well done.
PS: I was probably within three feet of the author when this was taken - I remember the flag waving and from what I remember, I was a little to the right and maybe about three feet back. What a terrific shot. |

Specific Gravity by kingskingdomComment: A unigue and intriguing image that meets the challenge subject in a very interesting way. Nicely composed and thought out, this image should be a top ten, if not a ribbon winner. Well done. |

Lemon Chicken? Not quite so!by davisambroseComment: A very good eye to notice and capture this image - even the texture of the "chicken" is near natural. Very effective and clever, this is one of the most unique images in any challenge commented on so far. A ribbon contender if there is any justice in the world - well done. |
