From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done.

Comment:
This has a rather Escher stairs feel to it that is very unique. It suffers from a rather soft focus, but the colors, shadows and odd angle help to overcome that feeling. From an artistsic standpoint, it is a terrific concept and one that is not often seen. A little more focus would have given this a true Escher stairs impression and would have placed well.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda. This image would have been a top contender from both a technical and artistic standpoint if only it had been more sharply focused or if a different filter effect, such as the use of gauze or Vaseline on the lens to create a more "gothic" effect had been used. An image that could have been a contender if more creativity had been used in composition.

From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail, but again, the lighting on the left negatively impacts the overall effect. A crop of the left would have improved this image tremendously. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus with one singluar exception. Well done.
