From OneTable to Another Table- Junkshop Viewby jomariComment: An effective title which works well with the image. From a technical perspective, the over done whites are a negative. From an artistic standpoint, the shapes and colors are pleasing and if the technical issue had been properly solved, it would have been a very effective presentation and would have placed high in the challenge. |

Get your own boXby mpetersComment: If one were to be totally honest, this image could be considered an "also ran" as it is more of snap shot quality - a candid moment ripped off in an instant of time. Having said that, on a second viewing, the dual action of eating and grabbing the box is a natural action for a baby and the rather grumpy facial expression sets the mood with respect to the title. While technically competant, it is just shy of being an artistic sense because of it's snap shot nature. |

Table for 8by PrismComment: A very good image that requires more than one viewing to properly appreciate. Initially, the color and tone was a little off putting - the overly reflective foil in the glass jar didn't seem to come off quite right and the color combination, along with the indefinite focus in certain areas of the image, created an uncomfortable feeling. Thinking about it, the image does make a certain sense from an artistic standpoint and there is nothing technically wrong. A very different type of image that may not be to the general taste, it does work in several ways. Nicely done. |

Duckpondishby jsavinenComment: Laugh out loud funny is more than enough to make this a top ten contender to this viewer. A very nice conversion to grayscale, the sense of playfulness is very present and properly presented. A terrific entry into the challenge - very amusing. A technical and artistic success. Well done. |

The red cupby IreneMComment: The concept here is simply excellant and one worth imitating in other challenges. The two stage reflection (spoon/mug) is one heck of a concept and difficult to pull off successfully. The red compliments the darker off-black background perfectly and the silver spoon is a great addition as silver always works with darker tones and shades. A very worthy entry into the challenge and a potential top ten image. Well done. |

In the mood?by BackpackRComment: The shape of an open book along with good use of both DOF and bokeh makes this a pleasing and comtemplative image. The singluar issue is the white bloom along the edge - while not over done in the sense that it is over done, it doesn't compliment the image in the same way as the slight reflective halor effect does on the reflection. Still a very good image and one that is full of peace and meditation. Well done. |

Wining and diningby IraklisComment: A candid image that is pleasing in effect - the grainy under exposure and grayscale treatment give this image some interest giving the impression of a vouyeristic on a candid moment in time. Slightly noir in concept, it is a great demonstration of the use of grain and exposure not normally seen. Well done. |

Church of St. Johnby kolasiComment: A table shot of a table - interesting concept and one that works well as an artistic construction. The image is a little less sharp that it could be - with a crisp image to compliment the pleasing colors and modernist approach to the art of this image, it would have been a top ten contender if not a ribbon winner - the tones, shapes and colors are very pleasing to the eye. |

WORK!!by MisterMarcusComment: Several nice touches in this image - the DPC is clever, the dollar sign painting and the very interesting fade effect but in reverse - a very inventive look at everyday chores. A very slight annoyance as the image could have used a little more cropping on the bottom which would tie the image together more effectively, but it works as it is. Well done. |

fire in the greenby jcarComment: Very different and unigue - a solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done. |
