Ehh, OK, I think you get the idea across. Unfortunately it doesn't make for the best shot. I get the idea at humour (I think), but just sounds more like an angry rebellion to me.

Nice shot, though I think it would have been nicer to maintain some of the skin tones rather than go for the B&W. The ribbon is well positioned in the eye, but the large white area "behind" it in the reflection detracts from it.

Yellow and Blue

Ahh water drops, this challenge was a dead certainty to have a few. Nice colours here, blue and yellow always go well together. Good focus on the ribbon in the drop as well.

Everything in this shot is done correctly, positioning, focus, lighting etc, but I'm only going to give this a 6 because of the fact that it's a vastly overdone theme here.

So what does your photo have to communicate to win this then?

I get that this is a DPC style ribbon, though not exactly one of the blue, red or yellow the challenge was asking for. Still, I like the humour here, and it's not too far off topic so I'll give it a 6.

Like it, it's a good comparison! Lighting feels a touch harsh, especially on the tin and the dogs fur and the colours are a touch washed out, both probably as a result of the on camera flash.

Nice shot of the horses, but the frame and ribbon seem out of focus. Also, I think it would have helped if you had even amounts of space around the outside of the frame (or none at all).
