Lake Davis Shoreby dahvedComment: Nice picturesque clam scene. Like the fact that you've managed to capture some of the highlights and shadows in tricky lighting. |

Jonathan Livingstoneby raishComment: Nice peaceful image, great shadows on the building. Composition lets it down slightly, the window at the bottom of the image looks attractive, it could have been good to bring the shot down a bit and bring that in, while giving it a little less sky. |

Burning Shadows into the Darknessby jumboshrimpComment: I don't think the flash / light source has helped this image particularly, it has resulted in a single lit strip along what appears to be a very richly coloured candle. What might have helped here would be to use a long exposure with just a reflector or low level fill flash to bring out the candles colours. |

La Rue D'ombreby icanlickmynoseComment: I feel there's a lack of solid subject here. Initially I'm drawn to the bright area to the left of the lamp post, then I find myself looking around the image eventually coming to rest with the car, which itself isn't really a clear subject either.
I think since the the subject is shadows, then to bring the lamp post into the shot a little more and deepen the shadows in PP would have helped. |

Down the roadby delinComment: Like the long shadow and the angle makes it interesting, might have been nice though if the dog had a little more space to "walk into", that would give the title a little more emphasis, like the dog was heading somewhere. |

Shhh!by strongsarah524Comment: Great idea, the shadow is subtle but stands out. I do think the composition lets it down slightly, the shot seems to be skewed slightly to the left and the colours don't seem to stand out particularly, and while I feel that was deliberate, I don't think it's an effect that works on something as bright and pretty as Christmas presents. |

Broken Shadowby optixComment: While there is a shadow here, I don't feel it actually adds to the shot at all.
I realise there's no way you could set a shot like this up,but I think it would have worked better with the bird at the right side of the frame looking towards the shadow. Obviously that doesn't help much but just my opinion :) |

Candleby davidwComment: This is a really nice almost abstract shot. If it wasn't for the title I wouldn't actually know what it was.
The shadows aren't fully apparent, possibly because of the tightness of the shot. Perhaps if there was a little more empty space around the subject to bring out the shadows it would have looked better. |

Searching...by himynameiserikComment: A little too dark for my liking, I like the idea but there's just too little visible.
Perhaps if the light in the frame silouheted the figure more it would be better. |
