Very busy shot. This would make for a good greeting card or postcard with a good quote. Putting a light color would help to make the push pins pop out of the picture. There's a lot to look at. Focusing in more may make it more interest.

A closer look at whole grain

Elk

Great composition. Profile of the deer makes it interesting. Love the furriness of the elk. I think more lighting on the elk itself would really make it pop out. The fur if you have the right light really makes it shine. The green in the background helps to make the subject come out of the picture.

The shine coming from the barrel is a bit distracting. Maybe lighting from below or above may give the piece a different effect. It might give the great expression even more impact. Composition is really good. Nice job.

I like the one you submitted a little bit more. The b&w gives the picture more impact and seems more interesting.

Maybe I'll dig out my paintball gear and attempt a shot like this.

Incredible contrast really makes this a great vivid picture. The beautiful depth of field makes the butterfly come alive. You can almost feel the grain of the wood also. Frame work great with the picture without taking away anything. Shadows and reflections in the wing gives you a sense of texture of them.

striped... but not toothpaste

Beautiful lighting makes the piece interesting. The shadows and the reflections of the light give great details in the bristles in the toothbrush. The insect has some beautiful colors that draw your eyes to it.
