Love this shot! There's so much to see here. It's not just your normal apple in the normal setting. I like this picture not only of the carving, but the depth it gives and the textures you chose for the background. The choice of colors really add to the dark feel I get from this (love dark moody stuff). Well done! 9 simply for orginality, focus and how it grabbed me.

I smiled after reading the title and looking at the pic for a second. Not sure if I'm seeing something that's not there or is suppose to be there. =) One a serious note - like the focus here, a great close-up with good texture/depth and the water droplets came through nicely.

I love pictures with a good amoount of negative space. This one (IMO) works well. You did a nice job on cutting the leaf into sections. Good color and lighting.

Creative idea here. The staples make the shot IMO. Also, nice job the joining the two skins. My only suggestion or thought would be a different color for the background. It might have helped the apple pop more. Just a thought. Overall, nicely done.

Clever idea and title. Wouldn't have needed it though because of the stripe. Only reason I'm pointing that out is alot of the times, the title is the only thing that gives the picture its meaning. Also like how the light is a spotlight type. Adds to the theme really well.

I'm a big fan of shadows where some may not. I enjoy how only the tops are in the light. It makes me draw the rest of the lines on my own. Nice color as well.
