Very cute and creative. Not sure if you made the background yourself, if you did, great work. The colors you chose here are great IMO. The sky is a lucious tone that makes the city pop but doesn't take away from the main subject. The apple is well lit and exposed and lastly, the pink and blue people work really well. Well done.

Great take on the challenge. I love dark b/w photos and this one just keeps me busy. That's ok in my book because your subject it lit well, makes its point, but then there's others goodies too look at. Nicely done.

***Giggle*** - good shot. It's funny because I can almost make out an expression on the bird that's like "Umm...be the apple, be the apple." Seriously though, captured well, great image and enjoy the colors. Also like how the background is completely OOF so it doesn't destract away from the subjects.

Great photo all around. Good color, texture, lighting and the flame is captured well. Also like how the apple looks fresh and not as though it had been sitting out a while. Oh, and leaving the seed was a good choice IMO. 8

Really like your idea here. Nice work on the drawing as well. The background is a bit strong for me. I also wonder if it doesn't take some color away from the apples. Just a thought - again, nice idea/take on the challenge.

Love the mood of this picture. It's odd because I keep bouncing back and forth about wanting to see more of the knife and not. But none-the-less, the lighting works for me. Great focus and color too boot. 7

An overall sound shot. The color, water, shadow and focus are spot on. My favorite thing here is the brown stem. Nice work with that.

I understand (or at least think I do) what you're going for here. I applaud that because of the artistic experimentation. For that alone voting a 6. As a suggestion, maybe a bit softer light with the high contrast would have helped a bit here. Just a thought.
